The Russian delegation took part in the 46th Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology (http://www.toxicology.org/) and ToxExpo that was held in Charlotte, North Caroline, USA, in 25-29 March. The meeting was highlighted advancements in science related to the numerous areas of toxicology and included many and diverse Symposia, Workshops, Roundtables. The meeting provided an important networking forum for the exchange of ideas and identifying the solutions and current problems. The leading experts in the field of toxicology, pharmacological studies, preclinical studies, immunotoxicology got together from the Non Commercial Partnership TEMPO member-institutions ( Branch of Shemyakin & Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Institute of Physiologically Active Compounds, Institute of Toxicology, St. Petersburg, Center of Toxicology & Hygienic Biopreparations, Serpukhov) and other leading Russian institutions, that are collaborating with TEMPO (RIHTOP, Volgograd, etc.). Three posters were presented at the sessions:
1. Poster Session: Children’s health/juvenile toxicity and animal models – A.N. Murashev et al., A Model for the Analysis of Neurotoxic Action of Embryonic Development by the Somatosensory Maturation in Mice;
2. Poster Session: Nervous System: Mechanisms in vitro - S.O. Bachurin et al., The Trigger Role of Mitochondrial Permeability Transition in the Development of Neurodegenerative Disorders.
3. Poster Session: Cardiotoxicity: - S.P. Nechiporenko, M.A. Zaytseva, et al. Acizol Efficacy in Experimental Cardiology.
