NP TEMPO delegation took part in the Silicon Valley Open Doors Conference. The Conference allowed establishing relations with potential business partners and venture funds.
The second annual technology investment conference Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD-2006) took place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California on November 16-17, 2006. Over 300 executives, venture capitalists and other technology professionals from United States, former Soviet Union contries and Israel attended the conference.
The conference was organized by the American Business Association of Russian Professionals (AmBAR). AmBAR conference partners included Russian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (St. Petersburg, Russia), and Center for Innovations Development of TECHINVEST VC Group (Kiev, Ukraine).
The conference was supported by the venture capital firms Asset Management Company (Palo Alto, California) and Draper Fisher Jurvetson (Menlo Park, California) The highlight of SVOD-2006 was presentations of the best twenty five private companies from Russia, Ukraine and other FSU countries.
25 innovative projects were pre-selected by the SVOD Expert Panel for presentations to the audience of US investors and potential corporate partners. Jury Panel judged companies’ presentations. One of NP TEMPO member organizations, JSC Biocad, was selected by SVOD Expert Panel for the presentation.
The program included companies exhibits as well as seminars conducted by leading venture capitalists, Stanford University professors, US lawyers, and other experts in the areas of finance, business development, and general management of creating high technology ventures, developing business plans, structuring deals, and transferring intellectual property. Representatives of some of the major Silicon Valley companies spoke about partnership opportunities.
